Chef Gautami Bhat
It Is only fitting that Gautami’s first word was Chocolate (a version of that actually). Her love for food has been apparent throughout her childhood. She had decided that being a chef was in her future from the age of nine years old.
Career in the Kitchen
Having trained through Prue Leith Chefs' academy Gautami went on to work in some of South Africa’s finest establishments . Boasting some of the top kitchens in the country, honourably mentioning the Saxon , Le Têt and Chefs Warehouse in Beau Constantia. After time spent in these world class kitchens she has a multifaceted exposure to food service including large scale corporate eventing, finessed fine dining and the operations of high scaled pastry department.
Her South Asian heritage and Western upbringing have played integral part in her passion for flavour and experimentation alongside her work experience. Throughout her career she has known her true love to be the world of chocolatiering and patisserie.
Her venture into catering comes with no small feat as the experience she has acquired is that of the highest quality ingredients and technique, that marry to deliver beauty and flavour to the catering needs of the corporate and eventing world.
